Disney: Napa Rose Dinner

Dessert

Dining at the Disneyland Resort is always an event. Whether it’s character dining, fancy dinners or just grabbing some good ol comfort food. It is always a special treat. Our return to the Disneyland Resort brings us to our most recent fancy dinner. I like many visitors attempt to get restaurant reservation on the same day as my visit. Which let me tell you, that’s just a big no no. It’s hard to get reservations at any restaurant or character dining at the parks on the same day as your visit. As I tried to make a reservation I ran into the situation where all the restaurants in the theme parks were booked. You can still buy dinner, it just wont be a sit down or that one popular restaurant everyone wants to visit like the Blue Bayou. If you run out of luck getting a reservation in the theme parks, remember that there’s restaurants in Downtown Disney and in the hotels. I made a reservation at a restaurant in the Grand Californian Hotel named Napa Rose.

Now Napa Rose is on the fancy side. If you’re a family visiting the resort and want to watch what you’re spending I wouldn’t call this my first choice.  A dinner for two will definitely run you over $200 bucks. This is a place where people would go celebrate their anniversary or a birthday. A special occasion. Although it’s on the higher end it’s worth the experience. The ambiance is great, it’s definitely a place you can relax at after a long day in the parks.

We ordered a scallop as our appetizer. The scallop came with Ox Tail Ragu and a pumpkin sauce. It was very good. For my main course I got filet mignon. Moist, tender, very good. For dessert, it was my husband’s birthday and the restaurant brought out the dessert above.
