Everytime we walk into a “Modern” Mexican restaurant were just wondering what kind of menu were going to run into. This weekend we went to a new place in the city of Downey. They are a chain, with locations in OC. We walked in and were greeted by a friendly staff. The place was packed with people. They have drinks with a twist like tamarind margaritas, mango with habanero martinis and sangria with a touch of cinnamon. Which is what I got and it was good.

Now on to the entrees, they have different types of tacos and burritos. They also have seafood like bacon wrapped shrimp with honey sriracha and salmon on a beautiful bed of rice.

What I really wanted for dessert they didnt have. Which was the cheesecake sampler that includes a chocolate abuelita cheesecake. As an alternate we got what they call the churro cart. They bring you a metal card with 4 hot and fresh churros. The churros are accompanied by three dips; chocolate, strawberry and dulce de leche.
