The Broad Museum is one of the newer museums in Downtown L.A. Admission to the museum is free. The museum is popular so try to get your tickets a month in advance. If you are unable to get tickets you can still visit the museum, but you’ll have to wait in line to get in. The museum is closed on Mondays but open the rest of the week. The museum also features an audio guide you can buy for 6 bucks.

It features two floors of art that varies from paintings, photos, statues and videos. This is not your typical visit to the Getty. This museum definitely steps outside the box and features art that you wouldn’t expect to see. Things that will make you do a double take to make sure you’re looking at the right thing.

Aside from the art, the architecture of the building inside and out is amazing. When you step inside you step into a open space of cool grey walls. It’s definitely the perfect place to be at when it’s hot.
