Before you leave those wineries, check out the great restaurants around the area. We went to the restaurant S.Y. Kitchen in Santa Ynez. They have Italian cuisine, their menu has a variety of pastas, salads and appetizers. I order the pasta above, it was called Wild Mushroom Pappardelle. The ingredients were wild mushrooms. thyme and parmigiano. This plate will cost you about $23 dollars. It looks like a small portion but it was filling, trust me. I forgot to take a picture of my husband’s plate but he order the gnocchi al sugo d’ anatra. To be honest he finished his pasta before I could even take a picture. His pasta has spinach ricotto gnocchi, duck ragu and porcini mushrooms. This plate will run you about $26 dollars. Please don’t forget that if you didn’t get enough wine, you can also get a nice glass here to go with your meal.

After our meal we had none other than dessert. We ordered a cannoli, my husband loves cannolis that when he saw it on the menu we had to try it. We loved the cannoli but it came with a persimmon sorbet and some berries and well, the combo just didn’t fit. I loved both the cannoli and the sorbet but just not together. This dessert runs you about $10 bucks. Other than that, I recommend S.Y. Kitchen in Santa Ynez. They have great food, a great atmosphere and great staff.
