Jumping from theme park to theme park can be a very exhausting thing to do. It’s nice to sit down and unwind for a minute. My husband and I decided to jump on the monorail and explore what the rest of Walt Disney World Resort had to offer. We visited the Polynesian Village Resort. I had been wanting to check it out. It just sounded so cool. A polynesian resort in Florida sounded so nice. Rooms at this resort start you at $500 a night and up. So this resort will definitely leave a dent in your wallet. I had read about this cafe at the Polynesian that sounded good. So we decided to go and grab a bite to eat. The cafe wasn’t anything fancy, it looked like a cool hang out place. A regular hotel cafe if you know what I mean. Our waitress was very nice and on it when we needed something. My husband ordered the unagi (eel) roll that you see above. It was very good. If you have never had eel before try it! It’s so good. It came with avocado, what Californian doesn’t like avocado???

I ordered the above plate which was salmon with crispy rice, wild mushrooms and wasabi seaweed. It was very good! The decor of the cafe was bland but the food was good.

We were on vacation so how about a drink? You can get tropical drinks there, pineapple and all. Talk about fancy!

I forgot to mention that they serve you Hawaiian rolls with a yummy macadamia butter. Hawaiian rolls I can get at the supermarket, it’s the macademian butter that stands out. It’s good and they put pieces of macadamians in the butter.

Finally let’s chat about this resort. It’s actually a nice resort. Their lobby is nicely decorated with cool lanterns. Theres a nice searing area below the cafe. Overall it’s a nice resort. But I would not pay $500 a night to stay here.
