One of my favorite lands to visit at Animal Kingdom is Pandora: The World of Avatar. This is one of the new lands to the theme park. It’s a must visit. The views are beautiful as you can tell from the picture above. You seriously get taken to the world of Pandora.

What brings visitors to this super cool land is the rides based on the feature film Avatar. The land has two rides, one is a journey through the Navi River on a boat. The second ride is a 4D adventure that allows visitors to experience the world of Pandora on the back of a Banshee. Expect to wait a good 2 or more hours if you’re unable to get a fast pass. My husband and I were able to book a fast pass for the 4D ride, the only time we had to wait those 2 hours was the fact that I wanted to get on the ride again.

So the way the 4D ride works is you apparently get paired up with an Avatar that looks like you. I was on the ride twice and both times it was a different avatar. Close enough Disney. Then you get seated on a bike like seat. Then a metal bar comes up and sits on your back, two metal bars push your shins forward and hold them in place. You have to remain seated with your chest as close to the front bar as possible. The minute the bars comes up, you fly into the world of Avatar above the skies. It’s a beautiful view! A must see!
